Konrad, thanks for your ideas on E.G......I think there is a fear so much about E.G......but that it is not admitted and instead she is made fun of (we make fun of things we are afraid of sometimes don't we?) and I find comments on her "hair" and such so demeaning but obvious. I mean we just don't do that to other analyst guys. And why is she a "guru"? Are all analyst guys "guru's" too? Look how superstitious the market is. I remember seeing her on CNBC on July and the fear on the people there. I had not seen that ever or since to my knowledge. I didn't even know who she was before then. Then the market turned around almost reminded me of being told to "straighten up" as a kid if you know what I mean. Now just suppose that somehow, let's pretend, that "the market guys" want to break their fear of E.G. and her predictions.....how would you break your fear? Create the opposite situation then she says so you can "collect" all the times she is wrong so you don't have to be afraid of her anymore and can turn her into a joke. I am saying she has been wrong alot lately on her own but lets say there are deeper levels to everything. Just interesting. Autumn BTW, I do not think "the old boy network" is ready to give up some of the best pieces of the pie--like the market is a best piece of America--to women......it will still take some time and evolution of the species......Just like there had to be a good enough woman to be vice president in America besides Dan Quayle....:) I can see why many guys don't want to give it up....power, money, status, control, decision making.....hard things to hand over willingly. BTW I think that Hillary strikes the same fear. She would have made a better president than Bill but we are not ready for that and the fact that she is so close reminds too many people how "possible" it is for a female to "run" the country as President....so instead we try to "put her in her place" by not liking her and demeaning her and pushing her to 'back off" from making a meaningful contribution to health care....scared the s**t out of the country when she started right out of the shoot working so hard on more serious things than dish patterns.......
