Might you post that link? Oh geez!! Now you're going to make me prove it.... <VBG> Actually, I meant to post it out here last week or the one before, when I happened to read the article. Funny, when you have a wider view of this problem, little tidbits like that "reassuring" comment about counties storing money to meet payroll leads to even more queasiness in our stomachs. My problem is that I had a several very good professors in college who taught me that politics, domestic and international, seldom take place in a vacuum and that economics lie at the heart of it all. To paraphrase and expand on Clausewitz..... "War is Politics by other means, and Politics are the public expression of Economics". I'll try and find that article, but no promises of success.
