It moves because that information changes, ie, sales, earnings, production problems, etc. If the information never changed then on what would YOU base your decision to buy or sell an equity or any investment?

I do agree that small investors can move more quickly on information when that information is published, but don't believe for a minute that the largest investors don't get that information delivered to them personally quite a bit before you or I receive it. That is a problem currently under investigation by the SEC.
