There is some excellent surf on the east coast of the Philippines. Best developed area is Siargao island, just NE of Mindanao; they have some surf camps, hotels, etc. A number of almost totally undeveloped places coming out, some great stuff being found on the island of Samar. A few Australians and a Hawaiian photographer are wandering up and down the coast, taking pictures and telling people, but the traffic is still pretty light. Not the easiest place to get to, but definitely an adventure. If you want to know more, ask. Steve
