Craig, Your posted link to UNH is real news that I was not aware of. In addition to being technically intense and requiring some time to digest I have a couple of observations on the pdf document: 1. The information is coded so that specific brands can't be determined. 2. 2-16 port switches are tested (designated V and W) for FCAL capabilities and building optimum loops. 3. On the second test Switch V fails in 13/35 conditions and Switch W in 18/35 conditions. 4. The data is not the usual data on latencies and throughput. I think the engineers on the thread should eyeball this and give us an idea about which tests are the most important. It might be possible from the info to tell which one is the MKII. George D.
