Thread members, remember how long we waited for news of the private placement financing? Which scenario do you think most closely reflects reality? Scenario A: Robert Gordon, desperately short of cash, turned over every stone in his attempt to find money to keep the company afloat. At the proverbial stroke before midnight, he makes a deal with some underworld outfit who are going on a short-selling spree in order to drive the stock price into the ground thus receiving an incredibly inflated number of shares. OR Scenario B: Robert Gordon, badly needing cash to fund phone center improvements, attract new management, and develop a web site, knew he would not be able to obtain conventional financing. He negotiated a convertible debenture with a group he trusts NOT to sell the stock short. As added insurance, he delayed the deal to a time when many new, bullish announcements are about to be made which will drive the stock price up, thus limiting share dilution. Your thoughts? Regards, Suzanne
