HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! Home again! What a relief to get the holidays over with and get back to normal. Although we are off to a swim meet today so I only have a few minutes-- However, I want your reactions to this. As I tried to catch up on all the stock threads, I came across a reference to a recent Gallup poll that I think is mind-boggling; it states that Clinton is America's most admired man--(beating out the pope by a rather large margin). What does this say about us? What is it we admire? Is this ignorance speaking? Worse, does it indicate a total abdication of morality as we once knew it? How come they never ask US here at DAR!!! At the bottom of the article it mentions that the sampling was of only 1005 people-which I think is ridiculously small for a survey that I'm sure will receive a great deal of press coverage. Nonetheless, I'm sure Billy will view this as another mandate from the people to continue his path of irresponsible, selfish, amoral, immature and pathologically mendacious behavior. DAmn it. It makes me so mad. And scared. Is there going to be a place in the world for children raised the way mine are?
