[Alcatel and Amati:]

<<< Pat, have you ever asked RC about this?>>>

I'm sure I have, though JS made all the same points at the annual meeting.

I've been told Amati is talking to Fujitsu, though I have nothing specific beyond that. When I asked RC about it, he said, "Well, you know they don't have ADSL yet," or something to that affect. I took it to mean they hadn't signed an ADSL partner.

Looking for connections, we know MCI is testing Amati's ADSL in Iowa; and we know BT scientists were extremely positive about DMT at the London conference where Dr. Cioffi presented one of the key papers; and we know Sir Peter Bonfield was CEO of Fujitsu before going to BT; and we know one of Amati's key officers used to work with BT's no. two man. Which doesn't add up to a contract, but it does put us in the playing field.

Anyone else have connections to add? It's something to do while we wait for the ink to dry.

Regards,

Pat
