Good luck! Of course many here agree with your position.

I'm expecting AMZN sales to surprise on the high side and will keep my short position boxed after the first couple of days depending how it goes.

A sales number of $250 million is not a ridiculous estimate. That's a 400% increase over 1997 and will likely ignite the stock. I think that will be the peak, after that the growth rates will decline substantially as new competition appears. Many net stocks are going the merchandise route. The brick and mortar people are starting to get it. The AMZN model is easy to copy and there are no hooks like AOL.

A coffee mug isn't going to keep us going to Amazon. Low prices will rule and that means this is just another commodity business.
