I have just bought my first put ever on an individual stock--early last week--a LEAP on Amazon. I had a bid on some cheap LEAPS on Yahoo, but had not got the hang of how to get executions. May try again on Monday.

I THINK that I am mentally prepared to lose all the money I am placing there, but as I post elsewhere, I just can't stand to be inthe middle of a bubble that's almost equal to the South Sea or Tulip--and beyond anything ever before in the stock market, except maybe RCA at the peak of 1929. I can't stand NOT to try to get something out of it. I figure a two-year lead time (LEAPS for January of 2001) may allow time for true values to reappear.

And meantime, with grim infelicity, I maintain my positions in BEARX, awaiting what I trust be will inevitable. I sure wish I had waited a year to take these positions, though.
