Thomas:

Berstein's "pop" is discussed in his first book, The Compleat Day Trader. He uses a 14-bar slow stochastic. A buy signal is generated when %K is at 75% or higher at the end of the bar. Exit as soon as %K and %D crossover. He seems to like this method for daytrading with 5 or 10 minute bars and claims it works best in markets with significant volatility. Most examples he uses are futures.
