What does this portend about the recession ahead of us? We are the consumers of last resort...without consumption there can be no capitalism...the world will have to revert to military spending and tax increases to create an economy.
Meanwhile, I have stock in some very decent companies that is so far below book value I can't believe it's for real. Bizarre.
Bloomberg news thinks the profit-taking in tech stocks will start immediately and value investing will be "in"....I wonder...Ed Yardeni thinks we may see a violent contraction this spring...
The feds can break the bubble simply by taxing stock options at regular income rates. But they won't do it.
