In my opinion, The media is going to have a one hell of hay day with Y2K this year. Yes there are going to be problems, but focusing on negative stories is going to lead to panic, hoarding, etc.

Like what took you so long to figure that out? (g)

OK, there's no denying that the anticipated floodgates have not opened, at least in so far as work being farmed out to publicly traded Y2K companies. Whether this is because companies are trying like heck to keep everything in-house, just fixing mission critical code, or the demand was exaggerated in the first place, it's now a moot point. As I've argued for the last six months, what made Y2K stocks run was emotion, and emotion will fuel the next rise. And far more "home runs" are borne out of emotion than earnings. Of course we're talking the extreme short-term here, as in get in early and get out quick.

Like I've been saying on another thread: There's Y2K tinder all over the place. It's only a matter of time before the match is lit.
