Dear Doug, It is called,"Selling to Buy."Over the course of my career I have seen it done hundreds of times and with great effectiveness.John Mullhearn {of Ivan Bosky fame}a former colleage of mine and probably the most gifted/talented Wall St trader of the 1980's was a master at it.Nothing illegal about it.Just gets the longs REAL NERVOUS.
