Monday will be interesting to watch play out, even if nothing much happens. Just like the last day of 1998, people will be doing stuff that is consequent from their tax decisions, the index of leading indicators news is out, some stocks will start the buildup for earings reporting (those that haven't already.) I want to see how it all balances out.

I thought it was interesting how many people jumped in to some of the beaten-down stocks (IFMX, INPR, etc) that had been making recoveries, literally in the last hour of the year. Is there some tax reason or porfolio-polishing stuff going on there, or were people just waiting for the year end tax selling to abate before making the plunge. Or what?
