I am surprised that merger and acquisitions thread has so little response. As a senior citizen, I look for opportunities to make good returns with less than average risk. My Orange Rockland(ORU) position is progressing and I expect merger with Con Ed to occur. Also I have some Carr Gottstein(CGF) at 11 and believe the cash offer of 12.5 by Safeway should be completed in late spring. If both of these cash mergers are successful my annualized yield will be between 30 and 40 per cent. Since you started this thread last year have you found any good source of info on merger proposals which can be examined by a conservative investor?
