Autumn,

I think you are right about Elaine and Hillary. My problem is that I
have regarded her as a contrary indicator. I've also started watching
the long bond. I get nervous when it approaches that magical number 7
which I think might trigger a short correction.

So today I turn on CNBC and find she's turned bullish, the long bond
heading toward 7, and the market reversing on record volume. I think of
Intel as the mighty, unsinkable, aircraft carrier I used to play with
in the tub; last night as a matter of fact!<g> When I pulled the plug,
the ship went down every time.

So what do you think, was today a burp or the beginning of something even
more distasteful?
