Well, none of my business but... I think usually the amount is thrown in as an intimidation tactic. Okey, so I can't get you to listen to me, let me throw in a $m number, does that catch your attention...? Not that there is anything fundamentally wrong with the tactic, if you want to use that tactic. The question is - did you really want to use the tactic ? I think your arguements stand on their merits - don't need crutches of $$$. I used to find myself telling people about my qualifications - when all other arguements failed. I'm wiser now. It pissed people off. Even more than my arguement did. %age gains are more impressive. JMHO
