OT:
Send them to any Catholic school and they'll better their education for far, far less.
Now wouldn't that be counter-productive?? I mean isn't the goal of the NEA and liberal democrats to ultimately undermine private schools and create a egalitarian educational system??
The resistance by liberals to the school voucher system here in DC would sure indicate that republicans are playing to special interests with that approach.
Y'know, it's sure tough to be a pragmatic republican these days. The way we're demonized as being the spawn of satan by liberals, while their most voiciferous Hollywood talking heads can call for the stoning of a man's wife and family (Alex Baldwin and his alledged "comedic" outburst on the Conan O'Brien show against Henry Hyde). Geezus tell me if ANY conservative, would be permitted by anyone, let alone his own party, to say something so offensive.
But hey, that's alright... they're liberals...
They're revolutionaries who think that big gov't is their salvation. They realize that Big Brother knows best, even when he separated from the problem by thousands of miles. Just through the money at the Dept of Education and they'll fix everything.
Sorry, I guess living here in the beltway has left me somewhat jaded. I mean Bill and Al, both big supporters of public schoolds and opponents of vouchers, sent their kids to an expensive private school, Sidwell Friends.
Good thing that their not elitists.
