Mark;
Love requires justice. If you love someone you will defend them and protect them from wrong or injustice. God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son. (John 3:16) He is not happy when people whom He loves are abused, raped, ridiculed, cheated, lied to, etc. etc. His angry reaction to these things is the result of love. Could you really say that you love someone if you do not do all you can to protect them? Would you injure or kill someone to protect an innocent child? Would this be an act of love? It seems too easy to me to simply talk about love. The world does not work this way IMHO. Part of love required the sacrifice of the WWII veterans, the death of firemen and police men in the line of duty, the training of a SWAT team officer to take aim at a sniper and a simple spanking to keep a child out of a busy street. I am not interested in vengance as this is a concept best left to God.
<<Perhaps the ultimate justice is the ability for all to be given the optimum chance to learn and to grow? >>
Again I must say this is too easy to say and to simple of a view. Some people when presented with a Godless view of the world see all as an opportunity to take advantage. Scamming old ladies out of their money, raping children, killing whole races of people to cleanse the gene pool and many other examples that I am sure you could think of. Man often takes advantage when he thinks he can get away with it. Many have chosen to learn violence and grow in hatred. Many do not care how productive their action is. I am commanded by God to turn the other cheek. I pray I can do so when confronted by evil. I also pray that God will deal with the injustice that I see in the world. It is the only way that I can carry on.
