Richard: < mini-ATM to manage e-cash sounds very interesting> With that comment, you made me think of a direction that hasn't been talked about much. Bet on Web-Portals that will encourage e-cash, e-commerce and e-everything at one site. Some have been close, but still not there.

The household names in the real-world are going to play roll in convincing the cradle-of-humanity a cyber-real-world is as one. The spoken word vs the cyber-written-word will be seen as one world.

As with e-cash and e-everything being part of a Web-Portal, outlook type technologies along with financial institutions will make Internet power plays of their own. These companies that master this creative-trick for 99 will rule allot of territory.

I would look to audio-media companies that are seeking to take over, or possibly invest into major web-portals in 99 as part of your e-comm-cash assessment. In my opinon, these type companies could be incomparible to the Amazon's of today.

What I see happening tomorrow will be similar to the heavy technology hitters today, and that is a cyber-industry controlled by a handful of
behemoths. We ain't seen nothing yet, the Fortune 500's are still using howitzers waiting the implementation of WAR ! <gg>

I read about the stake Disney is taking in Infoseek, so with that in mind, the Yahoo type companies will also look outside the Internet for the same type of media.

Microsoft, and others will also look to either back or buy these major protals of the internet.

I was a little shocked this month with the results of web purchases during the holidays. I think it was upwards into the 10+ billion spend, correct me if I'm wrong. But the respect this news got from the above named media-groups will set the tone in 99. I plan on having a great year investing in a few later in 99. <g>

Anyway, happy hunting this year, we should all do quite well.

Regards,

Stephen
