Wrong, you can't be judge and jury. Questions are allowed from the Senators but they pass through the judge and are presented in that manner. There is a prosecution and defense and Rehnquist fills the same role as a judge in any other case would. He insures that procedure is followed and makes rulings as required during the trial.
