Check out Petroleum Development. Despite it's name, the company is a 100% natural gas producer. The company has excellent management, has managed year by year growth, has no long term debt, is selling for around 70% of book value, and a P/E of around 6.5. Earnings estimate for 1999 is basically flat, but likely would take off if natural gas turns around.

If you can stomach a little more risk, look at SMIN. Selling at only 30% of book value, the company is more leveraged, but has interesting development projects. The stock has dropped all the way from a high of $8 to 3/8 at the bottom. Closed at 23/32 on Thursday. SMIN would likely shoot up to the $4-5 range with a little improvement in natural gas prices. SMIN does produce some oil, but is still heavily into natural gas.
