Dave,
Thanks, Dave... I needed that. Please, understand that when I share things like... "... much doesn't work out there..." I have looked at indicator after indicator and tried to see how I personnally could benefit or even make buy/sell decisions based on those indicators... and have not found a system that works. You are talking to a guy who got out of a short position in corn futures 2-3 days before they went limit up for a week back in the eighties... that was a close one. You are talking to a guy who believes in TA but cannot accept, yet, that someone would post hot stocks for real on a home page... and they really could be hot stocks.
I just don't want another repeat of painful past experiences and so I'm from Missouri as they say before accepting anything to do with investment... I need to see for myself. And yet I know whatever I do is my decision and I can't say that "... Dave made me do it." It is all well and good to say... well "I posted Gate and it is still going up... 15% in 3 days..." It would certainly be more believable if you had said ".. oh yes, XXX company I posted 5 weeks ago tanked and we lost 20% on it. But most of our picks move up by 10%"
I can understand why you might say that I flip-flop. The examples you give are instructive. However, I didn't see anything in any rules that said you have to have a cohesive, complementary set of experiences, beliiefs and ideas to join and post here. In fact, that is part of my "NT" personality which, when put to use, can be quite creative and productive. I need to find a way to harness this diversity and put it to use... and am expecting that everyone's comments will help.
Thanks... I know you will see more incongruity in future posts and I know you will feel free to point them out. I appreciate what you are trying to do.
And one last thanks... I know from the quality of your posts that you edit and re-edit them before releasing them... and I really appreciate that... I do the same thing myself so there aren't too many mistreaks (joke) in them.
Regards,
Bill |
