Let me just inject my $0.02 here.

If Voodoo3 is the technology of 1999 this company will be in the toilet by the end of the year.

The next round advanced feature cards will be introduced in 3Q and 4Q99 when Nvidia has their TNT2 and 3Dfx has its "Rampage".

While Voodoo3 is nice it is much like last years Voodoo2. Anything released early in the year is not going to be the technology leader at the end of the year. Just look at how TNT was the card of the year when in fact Voodoo2 kicked butt for most of the year and was the driver for all software coming out at the end of the year and early 1999.

For Lord's sake it only January 2nd and someone ALREADY is saying what the winning technology of 1999 is going to be?!? That's like the major networks declaring election winners an hour after the polls OPEN! Give me a break! We already know TNT2 will try to implement some geometry acceleration which should smoke Voodoo3 (which will still be processor constrained unless the company has a surprise up its sleeve).

Now that I've had my rant, I'll shut up in the hopes that someone has some decent info to post.
