Justa, re: Roger Honour and Montgomery. I think Roger is given the title of "senior portfolio manager: over all the equity funds but I believe the only fund he directly manages is the growth fund and by extension the equity part of the US ASSET ALLOCATION fund which is now a fund of funds of the growth fund and their bond fund. As far as I can tell the guy they brought in to manage the small cap opportunities fund since the small cap was closed has been somewhat of a flop though admittedly I haven't been following the performance closely since I lost interest in it. The microcap (US emerging market fund) has remained an excellent performer and I'd rather see small cap opportunities die than have it infect micro. I'll try to call Montgomery to see if there's anything to this merger issue. By the way as a general issue it has been pointed out that Index funds actually outperform more than it seems because truly poor managed funds tend to lose their assets and get closed down or merged and thus the worst losers often don't even get figured in to the calculations Marc
