I don't know much about Nicholas Feuillatte. I first bought it during the summer when I was having a champagne tasting with 4 friends who meet periodically to taste and drink champagne. I had decided to have champagnes from Epernay because I had spent a day there in June, and needed one more, so bought the Premier Cru Brut. We all liked it. Meanwhile, Robert Parker wrote a little about Nicholas Feuillatte in October: "Two other champagnes that merit attention for their exceptional value are from the house of Nicholas Feuillatte. The superb, dry 1994 Rose Brut (93; $25.00-$30.00) exhibits knock-out aromas of kirsch, framboise and strawberries. It is a terrific dry rose that is reasonably priced. An even better value is the Nicholas Feuillatte non-vintage Reserve Particuliere Brut Premier Cru (91; $20.00-$24.00), a blend of $0% Pinot Meunier, 40% Pinot Noir, and 20% Chardonnay. This is a deliciously floral, light-bodied, wonderfully subtle yet effervescent champagne that stood out in my tastings as one of the finest values in the non-vintage category." And then I was lucky to find a store that had them, and for less money. I thought the color of the rose was particularly lovely - light and salmony pink.
