Paticia,

Please refer to the following Clear Station URL for an explanation for MACD.

<http://www.clearstation.com/cgi-bin/bbs/Education/Indicators/MACD/1/>

Please look at the price action relative to the 13 day moving average. Whenever the price action penetrates the 13 moving average either up (buy) or down (sell), this corresponds to bur or sell action, and frequently in sync with a positive or negative trend.

To answer your question, I do use as many technical indicators as possible to confirm my buy and sell decisions, I've been a market technician for over 35 years and it works for me. Fundamentals must be a primary factor in picking a stock, but you need a timing tool for enhancing your profit potential and technical analysis (TA) does the job very nicely.

There are detractors to the art of TA such as Jim Mac who followed your post, but don't let his remarks bother you; treat them as you would a "Gad Fly". Silence is the best way to treat such intemperate criticisms.

Learn and use TA as you would a Road Map when you take a trip. Enjoy the journey to financial prosperity through technical analysis.

Harry
