BB means stocks that are traded on the OTC:BB exchange. Generally they have to meet very minimal, few financial requirements to trade on it. Whereas on the NYSE and AMEX exchanges there are a lot of stringent requirements to trade on those exchanges. NASDAQ is the other one, where they are only slightly better than the OTC:BB market, but nowhere near as 'good' as the NYSE and AMEX exchanges. (IMO)
You won't see anywhere near as big a price swing on any given day with a NYSE/AMEX stock as you will those other two....FWIW.
