It wasn't tongue in cheek... just an observation that the initial reports of something like this are not always what they appear to be. For example, should some India link to the rebels be found, that might make things a lot worse. Also, since both India and Pakistan have recently set off weapons of mass distruction... need I say more?

But the point is, no matter how well we contrive the future, the Murphy laws seem always to get in our way!
