Nicholas,

Look at price movement in relation to movement of the indicator over 80.
Most people associate that with being overbought but unless a stock is overbought, it won't move up.
The larger buy signal for the 89, 3, 5 is after an initial move up from oversold to over 80 it pulls back under 50 and holds above (in Parity using aol for data anyway >>gg<<) 20. The next break above 80 is when a large move has a better chance of starting.
A long term uptrend in the MACD that reaches 0 and "forces" the MACD itself over 0 with volume support is a strong verification.
