I appreciate your reply very much, and I hope the jest in the first line of my previous post wasn't taken to heart by anyone.

I too believe that there is a great deal to be gained from the exchange of advice and opinions that takes place here.

I wonder what your thoughts are on allocating money among different funds within one family instead of going outside of a family to take advantage of a fund that may be performing at a higher level than a similar one offered by your favorite group. Is this kind of diversification a good thing? Ultimately it must come down to personal preference, I suppose, but is it wise to put all your eggs in one basket in this way?
