look for the Euro to act just like the Canadian dollar, for the same reasons.

I think you have a point LindyBill but I think that it will be by choice. They may want to ensure their currency does not rise against the US dollar because it would hurt exports. How will they accomplish this??? I guess that remains to be seen -probable rate cuts. Their rates I understand are generally lower than US (i think german rate was about 3.5%)-- Maybe we will see a lot of US rate cuts which would be great for the markets and great for the "dominant hi techs".
My guess is that we will see an equilibrium without too much currency fluctuations -- Euro vs Dollar.

I am looking for US rates to drop by 100 basis points by the end of 1999.
