I will be purchasing some shares of AOL tomorrow -- probably to trade. FWIW, this is what I plan to do. If AOL opens in the 140s I will buy at the open -- or upon some sustained early selling. If it opens above 155, I will wait for the inevitable bout of selling to occur. Hoping to get my mid to high 140s price. If it opens above 160 and runs -- I'll look elsewhere. I will buy half my position in the morning. And I will wait to see what plays out before I buy the other half. If the market tanks -- and AOL is brought down with it -- I'll sell and then buy back in when I see sustained buying in some of the other big cap tech stocks. Could be later in the week. At the latest, next week. We should all get a better idea of how this will all play out at about 8:30 in the morning. If I can get a price in the 130s or lower I will be very happy. This said, the purchase of Netscape shares is probably a better longer term investment. And if I decide to keep shares I will likely be buying them under the symbol NSCP.
