Well, it certainly sounds as though MBT or some such broker is what you need. Using RT should certainly be no slower than schwab for NYSE but, since the specialist fills orders at their discretion, fills will take a while. I think they have two minutes to decide whether to execute an order or not. Since you are not using trading for your only source of income (I am) you don't really have to worry so much about losses. This might make the early mistakes easier to take.

BTW, I have a Pit Bull who needs tons of attention. I can no longer leave the cursor on any buy or sell button because he's jumped up and hit my mouse! Try explaining that to your broker.
