Skeeter, the wheel is to the automobile, what the computer is to the net. Both were starting points for later, more important inventions.

With the net&#151the 'extended computer'&#151one can simultaneously engage many important facets of everyday life. Ever play chess with a guy in Taiwan, whilst installing files on a computer in San Antonio, whilst chatting with a friend in Italy, whilst buying stocks in New York&#151with a wheel?
