I'm leery of the "thing." If they decided to cut certain spending we could see a pulse near breakeven in the 4th quarter. Volume hides lots of sins or so they say. Also, for the holders ready to exit, this would be a big boost. IF AMZN gets close to BE then the market goes nuts and AMZN holders get to exit 1/2 of their holdings without totally creaming the stock. That happened with NSCP.

The temptation for the amateur short seller is to take off the lid in the absence of facts. The fact is we just don't know what will happen on Monday or any day as far as that's concerned. That makes an unboxed strategy or a long strategy very risky unless you are a very disciplined trader like HJ.

I think the best strategy is to sit tight if you are short and boxed. When the collapse begins then you can ride it out, just like many of the longs have these past few weeks.

We're not in this thing to be heroes or to prove William is wrong. The former heroes were scattered this fall. Same thing happened to NSCP shorts.

The first man on the beach at Normandy was probably shot.
