Internet cannot be compared to these "manias", None of the industries improved human
lives. Internet does. None of them affected the lifestyles, education, children to this
extent. The only revolution I can compare it with is the industrial revolution. And it
hasn't died out.

HG,

The internet is not a revolution it simply is an evolution of technology. It does not improve human life any more or less than biotechs or Iomega did. I use medications that were developed by biotech firms and I am a large user of the Iomaga zip drives and cartridges.

I love the internet and the information I can locate using this medium. However, many loved the automobile when they were first developed and once could afford it.

There is too much hype regarding the companys involved in this sector. Time will weed out unecessary firms. That occurred with railroads, automobiles, oil companys, etc. It will occur here too.
