McNeely on 60 minutes - He scored some big points in tonite's interview. My favorite observation that he made was that Windows was already obsolete. It was his job to explain the transition to Java in English.

I could not help but to make a mental replay a CNBC interview with Irwin Jacobs on CNBC just after 4th quarter earnings. When the interviewer asked him to explain what CDMA was, he started to discuss the analogy of a cocktail party theory of CDMA.

This is not the right answer. No one cares how it works, only that it works better than GSM because of higher capacity and better data capabilities. CDMA is a new digital technology that is replacing GSM because it provides higher capacity and faster data rates. Even the inventors of GSM are converting to CDMA in the next few years. That's all people want to hear.
