Do you just mean GTC stop orders only? I have an open order right now for a limit buy on an NYSE stock that I put in several trading days ago, and although it hasn't executed due to not dropping to my limit price yet, it's in there as an open order. A STOP order is NOT the same thing as a LIMIT order.
