Big D, I think you have it right. The nations acceptance of Slick says far more about the nation than slick. Perhaps it also says that the dems are not really in love with Algore. I think the thing to watch is the date after which Gore gets the opportunity to serve two terms of his own even if he takes over for Slick. I think that date is around Jan 22.
