Position Trades for Educational Purposes:

I've had some email requesting I establish a Position Trading Account
that will track some stocks for a longer period. Also, I will use
the website to post the appropriate charts and graphics for trendline
and other relatively simple analysis. Since I will post long and
short positions, I will limit the stocks to 12 of the larger volume
and capitalization companies. The stocks are:

SYMBOL CLOSE CHANGE CHANGE % % Winners # trades/yr

CTL 67.5 1.062 1.60% 100 5**
ASND 65.75 0.5 0.77% 79 24
DIS 30 0.125 0.42% 86 21
PEG 40 0.062 0.16% 100 7
MOT 61.063 0.063 0.10% 100 19
SPY 123.313 0.00% 100 6
CPU 13.063 -0.062 -0.47% 80 30
DCX 96.063 -0.687 -0.71% 100 5*
KO 67 -0.813 -1.20% 100 9
IBM 184.375 -2.375 -1.27% 92 13
ORCL 43.125 -0.625 -1.43% 79 24
MCD 76.813 -1.5 -1.92% 93 15

TOT/AVG 72.339 -0.386 -0.36%

* DCX had only 2 months data/history
** CTL had only 6 months of data/history

The trading model used generated an average return of 300% for the
12 stocks listed (min 32% for DCX*, max 1000% for CPU). Less than
15 trades per stock per year. Average % winners greater than 90%.

I will assume no slippage and no comission, with 300 shares of each.

I will place all entries, exits and shorts based on either stops or
limits based on end of day assessment.

If a stock trends horizontally, it will be held in the last position
taken.

I have no entries for tomorrow, but will wait one day for any feedback
and for the first of the year market to establish its trend.

At present, the analysis says to be long on every stock, except DIS,
for which it is short. I may decide to wait for a trend reversal to
enter, or may just choose an entry. I will account for hypothetical
gains/losses at position reversal rather than a regular basis.

Before I start this, I invite any comment via pm, post or email. If
someone has a better large cap stock to replace one on the list, pm me
and I will download the data and determine if it is viable. One
condition for inclusion would be fitness to the trading model I use.

Again, this won't be a real trading account, but for illustrative
purposes in keeping with the original intent of this thread.
