Same thing happened to me when I tried copying from WSJ--but that's the only place it's happened to me.

Try this: You know how to use the > and < signs to make something italic or bold, right? To preserve the format of something like the WSJ article, put "pre" (without the quotes) between the arrows. This is good for posting tabulated data and such also.
