Yes, I think I saw Shallow Grave. Was it the one about the group of kids staying at a remote country house to make a horror movie? THAT was a disturbing movie. There was another creepy movie, although I can't remember the name just now, roommates advertising for a 4th to share a house. They get a guy whose in a crime syndicate. Their new roomate dies in his room, and they find a suitcase of money under his bed. All hell brakes loose as they destroy each other for the money which the syndicate is also looking for. Does that ring any bells? BTW, I believe Smash Pallace was an Australian movie about an abusive husband. Alexa
