Webster- are you aware of a company called 8X8, which used to be IIT?
They were planning to go public late December. This was the company that was hot and high on my foundry list. I like CUBE but ESST has become more formidable than I expected. The only other obvious MPEG companies out there are Oak Technologies and Sigma Designs. (S3,CHPS,Visual Nine are too obvious). Rest of my list ranks as insignificant or garage type operations that have at least 1 year to go before they show themselves in public.

Larry Fahy mentioned in #2876, a company Zoran. I went back to my list and sure enough, they are on it. What makes this really interesting is that Zoran is a fabless smiconductor company. I am on "S" on my list of contacts. Maybe I jump down to the "Z" right now and "check um out".

Kevin - the speech guys that impressed me the most was a company called Sensory Inc. I haven't had the time to find out if they are publicly traded. sensoryinc.com
