SAF, the chart is something I copied from an article on the January Effect, which appeared about 2 months ago in the Journal of the American Association of Individual Investors. They have a print version and a web version, both available only to members. I think their website is www.aaii.org. Other than the chart, the article wasn't that useful.

The primary thing about the chart that I don't understand is just exactly what kind of stocks go into the S&P low priced stock index. I wasn't able to find this info at the S&P website, and it wasn't mentioned in the AAII article.
