Thanks, Mark, thats a great site. No, I don't use AOL and didn't have any of those problems with my other computer, so I fear its a conflict somewhere, but I can't see where. I was using Win95 until a couple of weeks ago. There are so many new features on Win98, that I am going through all of them and seeing what Dell has put all of the settings at. I am basicially down to the bare bones at the moment. The computer came with win98 already installed, so if I have to, I will uninstall and do it over again. I'm afraid at this point I have nothing good to say about Win98. Thanks for the suggestions, everyone.. ze gyp
