As for using this thread to communicate at the speed of the internet and John's comment about taking three months to respond... It feels like it takes three months to wade through another thread, such as cpq, so by posting here Tom has actually saved me 3 months x 3 virtual months which = $400,000 viutual connect dollars!
As for Tom being concerned with "superfluous banter" on this thread, I almost split a gut!!!!! This is the only thread where trash talking is missed!!!! Besides, what else is this thread good for???
And Jitterbug Perfume was the perfect book to read in response to my question about Mr. Gates. Microsoft looks like it will live forever, no matter what Netscape, the DOJ, Sun etc.... try to do, and it always comes up smelling like a ..... beet. (Do you think Bill does his hair to stay in power??)
Now you must fall 'Half Asleep in Frog Pajamas' while you read Tom Robbins' latest (that I know of) book.
Oh yeah, I've been so busy I've barely touched SI for a while, but keep posting anything, especially Tom Robbins and Oakland Raider news, but also any tips on long shot, great technology but poor execution stock (like DEC was).
