Pal, <"3-to-5% improvement"...He's been Ali-Babbling about NO SYSTEM PERFORMANCE INCREASE !> Yes, tremendous efforts to increase L2 speed three times by building a 444 mm2 450 MHz proprietary chips were richly rewarded by 3% performance increase. Great engineering at Intel. Congratulations. Great utilization of fab eguipment as well. Materials, chemicals, labor... And extra packaging! Certainly the cost to produce all this goodies must be way below AMD, no wonder:)
