<<You don't understand Intel's segmentation strategy - the strategy that has helped AMD lower their 400 MHz K6-2's from $285 to $160 in just a few weeks !>>

Do you understand Intel's segmentation strategy? Intel don't even their own segmentation strategy. It has helped to lower Intel PII-400 from $500 to $300 in 2 months. CeleronA 333 has also dropped from $220 to $90 in 2 months. Even Intel dares not to show the benchmark of CeleronA vs PII popular benchmark. They came up with some fictitious ICOM benchmark which no one understands.

<<Intel's Celeron is targeted at the cost sensitive market segment - and it will sell on price and reasonably good performance.>>

I thought you said Intel doesn't engage in low-end stuffs. Weren't you used to say that Intel goes for the premium price where "mission criticals" are utmost important? If benchmarks of CeleronA and PII-400 are identical then what is reasonable good price/performance?
Would the smart ones buy CeleronA and idiots buy PII?

<<The REAL performance market will be transitioned to Pentium III/Katmai where Intel will maintain excellent ASPs and high performance - and AMD won't be able to match it in features - even with the Sharp-eye chip - which clearly will not have KNI.>>

Not your hype again. You are all propaganda. What killer softwares run KNI? DirectX 6.1 has NO KNI!

<<Thus Sharp-eye will have to fight it out in the trenches with Intel's Celerons.>>

You mean the K6-2. K6-3 is 15% faster than PII clock for clock!

<<And Intel's DIXON - a 256K L2 on chip cache version of the Mendocino, which can run at 1.6 volts - will dominate in the high end notebook segment.>>

Blah, Blah, Blah. And K7's VIPER NOTEBOOK- a 256K L2 chip cache version of the K7, which can run at 1.6 volts - will dominate in the high end notebook segment.
